A mid-century Italian drinks trolley, the kind that came out of the marquetry workshops around Sorrento and sold across Europe as the smart way to bring the drinks to the room rather than the room to the drinks. Two tiers of floral marquetry, a bouquet worked into the centre of each and scrolling foliage running the borders, all set behind pierced brass galleries and carried on turned brass uprights.

It rolls on a pair of large spoked wheels at one end and small brass casters at the other, with a ring rack on the lower tier sized for bottles and a brass handle to steer it by. This one came in tired and marked as found. It has since been taken fully apart, cleaned and put back together, and it now moves and works exactly as it should.

Unmarked, as these nearly always are, with honest light wear to the veneers and a warm age to the brass. Italian, mid-century, and ready to work.
