Notes
Plantubs were designed as furniture as much as horticulture. The lifted cone, thin tripod legs and brass-tone collar give it the airy domestic modernism that let plants move into the living room without looking makeshift. This was the moment the indoor plant became part of the decor rather than a thing kept by a window, and the planter was styled to match the room it stood in.
The Plantubs label matters for the record, but the real appeal is visual: it reads as a small piece of mid-century design first and a pot second. Sold with its original wire stand.
