Every KOBK object is one of one and carries its age honestly. Expect marks, wear and patina as part of the piece; any specific fault is noted above. Where an object is photographed on a stand, the stand is included.
Notes
A small hand-pinched dish with a crimped rim and a lot of charm. Useful, but really kept for the edge. The contour is well judged and the olive glaze pools and deepens in the folds, which is where a pinched form like this either works or does not. This one works.
The base is signed Minka Veal. We haven't traced the potter, so the name stays open. We'll note one nice coincidence: a Minka of the same name moved through Melbourne's mid-century art world, and it is almost certainly just that, a coincidence, but we like wondering. If anything solid surfaces, we'll add it.
