Every KOBK object is one of one and carries its age honestly. Expect marks, wear and patina as part of the piece; any specific fault is noted above. Where an object is photographed on a stand, the stand is included.
Notes
A small production-studio vase with a better surface than it first lets on. The form is straightforward, a broad shoulder, narrow foot and clean lip, but the glaze does the heavy lifting: cobalt drifting into charcoal, with violet-grey flashes and a raw clay note kept low at the foot where the glaze runs thin. It feels coastal without being literal.
The Kalaru script mark to the base ties it to the far south coast of New South Wales. Good Australian production pottery at the point where utility and atmosphere still sit happily together.
