A working loom for narrow-strip weaving, the West African tradition where long slender bands of cloth are woven first and then sewn edge to edge into a larger textile. That process is the appeal: this is not decorative equipment, it is the beginning of pattern, the point where thread becomes cloth.
The stretched warp and simple timber rollers make the whole thing readable at a glance, and it carries the marks of real use. Good because it still looks exactly like what it is.
