Notes
Retail display as a finished object in its own right. The sloped face, compartmented interior and bright Gillette lettering turn a simple shop tray into a piece of commercial stagecraft, something built to catch the eye, sort stock and speed up a sale at the counter.
It still works that way: part display, part storage, part memory of the shop counter it once sat on. The original glass lid survives, which is what lifts it from a worn fitting to a complete object.
