Notes

The attribution matters here because the hand feels unusually present. Jiri Suhajek was not simply a designer attached to a famous name. He studied under Stanislav Libensky at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague, trained further at the Royal College of Art in London, and worked as an artist at Moser through the 1970s, with pieces now held by the Corning Museum of Glass and the V&A.

That is what makes this more interesting than a nice piece of glass. The form is disciplined, but the applied blue and ruby trails loosen it just enough to feel alive, colour used structurally and surface used like drawing. Even before a mark turns up it sits convincingly in Suhajek's world. Strongly attributed, and good enough that the attribution is not carrying dead weight.
