Notes

A period ski poster from the years when a mountain was sold through colour, optimism and a very particular idea of winter freedom. Mount Norquay earns the romance. It was the first ski resort in the Canadian Rockies, with runs cut from the mid-1920s by local skiers who found that old fire and logging scars had left ready-made slopes above Banff, and a lodge running from 1929. By the time posters like this were made, Norquay sat alongside Lake Louise and Sunshine as one of the area's big three hills.

That history is the whole point. Posters like this existed to turn the Rockies into a destination, to make people book a train and buy the fantasy, long before anyone compared lift passes online. Bright graphics, clean alpine promise, and a real piece of travel culture from the era when the mountains were marketed as modern escape. Reframed by KOBK in Australian hardwood, original stock throughout.
